These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of HighFit, a job-fit scoring and outreach-drafting service provided by HighFit (“we,” “us”), available at app.highfit.io and via our Chrome extension. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use HighFit. By signing up, you confirm that you are.
2. Your account
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, including your resume and contact details.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secret and for any activity that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately.
- You may not share your account with another person, register more than one account for the same person, or impersonate someone else.
3. How HighFit works
HighFit uses an AI language model (currently Anthropic's Claude) to score how well a job posting fits your resume, generate cover letters and LinkedIn messages, and produce interview-prep content. The output is a starting point, not legal, career, or hiring advice. We don't guarantee any score is correct, that any draft is suitable to send, or that using HighFit will lead to any specific outcome (interview, offer, job, etc.).
4. Credits, payments, and subscriptions
HighFit uses a credit-based pricing model. Each action consumes a defined number of credits:
- Score a job — 1 credit
- LinkedIn connection message — 1 credit
- Cover letter — 2 credits
- Talking points — 2 credits
- Interview questions — 2 credits
- Resume feedback — 3 credits
New accounts receive a small number of free credits per month. You can buy credit packs or subscribe to a monthly plan for additional credits. Payments are processed by Stripe; your billing relationship is with us, not Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically on the same day of each month unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Cancelling does not retroactively refund credits already granted for the current period.
Refunds. Credit-pack purchases are generally non-refundable, but if our service fails to deliver a score or outreach generation due to our error, contact support@highfit.ioand we'll refund the credits or charge as appropriate. We retain the right to refuse refunds in cases of obvious abuse.
Pricing changes.We may change credit costs or pack prices for new purchases at any time. Existing unused credits in your account are not affected by price changes. Subscription prices will not change for existing subscribers without 30 days' notice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use HighFit to submit content you don't have the right to use (e.g. someone else's resume without permission).
- Use the service to harass, defame, or impersonate anyone, including generating outreach designed to deceive a recipient about who you are.
- Scrape, copy, or resell the service or its output at scale, including reselling generated content as a standalone product.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the AI prompts, bypass rate limits, or interfere with the service's normal operation.
- Use the service to violate any applicable law, including employment, intellectual property, anti-spam, or data-protection laws.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We may also remove or refuse to generate content that we believe violates these Terms or any applicable law.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the resume, “About you” context, and any notes you create in HighFit. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content as needed to provide the service (e.g. sending it to Anthropic to score a job).
Generated outputs (scores, cover letters, talking points, etc.) are yours to use as you see fit. We don't claim ownership over anything HighFit generates from your inputs.
7. AI-generated content disclaimer
Outputs are produced by a large language model and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or fabricated details. Before sending a cover letter, message, or any other generated content to a real person, read it carefully and edit it. You are responsible for everything you send.
8. Service availability
We do our best to keep HighFit available, but we don't offer an uptime SLA on the standard plan. The service is provided “as-is” and we may take it offline temporarily for maintenance or upgrades.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@highfit.io. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
HighFit is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HighFit and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including lost profits, lost data, or lost job opportunities. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your misuse of the service or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and update the “Effective date” above. Continued use of HighFit after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
